GDPR

Palmers Digital Ltd is 100% committed to data protection. That’s why we welcome the General Data Protection Regulation (also known as the GDPR), which was approved and adopted by the European Union (EU).

The GDPR is a regulation intended to strengthen and unify data protection for all individuals within the EU. It aims to protect the fundamental right to privacy and the protection of personal data.

Customer trust is our absolute top priority.

We have worked with a team of experts and have implemented the required adjustments to our products, services, and documentation, to ensure compliance with the GDPR. This empowers Palmers Digital customers to get more control over their personal data and gain the tools necessary to protect the information of visitors.

  • Our website provider employs full-time security consultants, dedicated to the security of our customer information.

  • Palmers Media is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) compliant and is accredited as a level 1 service provider and merchant. This standard helps create a secure environment by increasing cardholder data, thus reducing credit card fraud. We regularly perform internal security audits to maintain our ISO/PCI security certifications.

  • Palmers Media signup and login services are completed through a secure server (HTTPS/SSL).

  • Wix uses cryptography hash functions to protect your information. Your password is stored as a hash digest and, in the event of a security breach, your original password cannot be recovered from our servers.

  • Palmers Media is certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-US privacy Shield Framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce, regarding the collection, use, and retention of personal information transferred from the European Union and Switzerland to the United States, and therefore adheres to the Privacy Shield Principles.

  • In accordance with the GDPR, site visitors have the right to access their data or "be forgotten" (to be permanently deleted from your databases). Wix has developed the two main tools to assist you in becoming GDPR compliant:

Cybersecurity Statement

The Palmers Media checkout process is secured by HTTPS / TLS encryption and it is safe for all customers to purchase from our site.

Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The 'S' at the end of HTTPS stands for 'Secure'. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.

TLS (Transport Layer Security) is the standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a web server and a browser. This link ensures that all data passed between the web server and browsers remain private and secure. TLS is used by millions of websites in the protection of their online transactions with their customers.

Additionally, our checkout only works with payment gateways that offer the highest level of security certification (PCI DSS Level 1).

Our company is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with an online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our company adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
